Questions We Hear Often
Most outdoor saunas are built with weather-resistant materials such as Nordic spruce or cedar and are designed to handle seasonal temperature changes. That said, the right choice depends on your climate — colder regions with heavy snow loads may benefit from a reinforced roof design, while humid climates call for naturally rot-resistant wood species. If you have questions about which option suits your environment, our team is here to help.
Traditional saunas heat the air inside the cabin using a wood-burning or electric stove, producing the high-heat, steam-based experience most people associate with a classic sauna. Infrared saunas use radiant panels to warm the body more directly at lower ambient temperatures, which some users find more comfortable for longer sessions. Both styles are well-represented in our collection, so the best choice comes down to personal preference and how you intend to use the space.
Outdoor saunas range from compact two-person barrel designs to larger cabin-style models that comfortably seat four or more. Beyond the footprint of the unit itself, it is worth accounting for clearance on all sides for ventilation, access, and the overall feel of the space. Most models arrive with a straightforward assembly process that the homeowner can complete with basic tools — dimensions are listed on each product page to help you plan.
We offer Free Shipping on Most Orders Within the Continental U.S. (Excludes AK/HI), and outdoor saunas are covered by our 30-Day Return Policy. Because saunas ship as large freight items, we recommend inspecting your delivery carefully upon arrival and noting any concerns before signing. Please refer to our Return Policy page for full details on the return process.
About Our Outdoor Saunas
An outdoor sauna is one of the most rewarding additions a homeowner can make to a thoughtfully designed backyard. Rooted in centuries of tradition and refined for modern residential living, today's outdoor saunas are beautifully constructed structures that bring warmth, ritual, and a genuine sense of retreat to your own property. They are designed for homeowners who want more from their backyard than a place to sit — a dedicated space to decompress, spend quiet time, and extend how the home is experienced. When choosing an outdoor sauna, the key considerations include the size and layout that fits your space, the type of heat source that suits your preferences, the wood species used for durability and aesthetic, and the quality of construction that will hold up over time in your specific climate. A well-chosen outdoor sauna becomes a lasting part of how you enjoy your home — not a seasonal accessory, but a year-round destination built into the rhythm of daily life.
